VENUE - 14 Sept 2007 Bristol author and TV Producer Mike Andrews is best known for his classic BBC TV series 'The Flight of the Condor' and 'The World About Us'.   But this month he reveals another of his burgeoning talents - as a jewellery designer and maker.  Spotlight on Mike Andrews runs until the end of September at Diana Porter Contemporary Jewellery on Bristol's Park Street and unveils the history behind each of his unique pieces.  Inspired by Mike's lifetime of adventure, the collection incorporates ancient arrow-heads that he picked up in the Andes and spindle-whorls used for spinning cotton in Ecuador that he believed to be around 2,000 years old.  "My love of the natural world and archaeology has been my inspiration behind many of the pieces I make," says Mike.
